36 to 75Vin 22V-32V/5A Output Active Clamp Forward Reference Design
PMP9127: This reference design generates a 28V/5A output from a 36V to 75V telecom input. The UCC2897A controls an active clamp forward converter power stage. The output is adjustable within a 22V to 32V range. The UCC27511 is used to drive synchronous rectifiers, and provides for a highly efficient design. This design is laid out on a circuit board with pin placement that is compatible with a 1/4 brick footprint and achieves efficiencies over to 94%. It uses only surface mount components, including ceramic output capacitors.
310W PSU Using Transition Mode Bridgeless PFC and LLC-SRC - Reference Design
PMP9640: High efficiency, high power factor and reliable power supply are the main focus of the PMP9640 design for motor driver applications. Low cost analog transition mode (TM) PFC controller UCC28051 has been used for bridgeless PFC as the first conversion stage of the PMP9640. LLC series resonant converter (SRC) with UCC25600 is applied as the second stage of the PMP9640. In addition, a high-side buck converter with UCC28710 is applied here as the bias supply. In this design, bridgeless PFC efficiency can go up to 98.5%.

PMP9517: The PMP9517 is a high density constant voltage / constant current power supply with an 85VAC-265VAC input range and 5V/10W outptut. The design features primary side regulation (PSR) of a low cost power transistor (BJT). With low component count and low cost, the design is suitable for USB type power supplies used in smart phones, tablets, PDAs or digital cameras. This design is similar to PMP9135 but with a smaller overall size.

PMP7453: This reference design generates an isolated 28V/100W output from a high voltage DC input. This design is intended to operate from the output of PFC front end regulator. The UCC2897A is used to control an active clamp forward converter. Self-driven synchronous rectifiers allow for over 92% efficiency. An accurate current limit is provided by directly sensing the output current. A clock pulse output is also provided for synchronizing with other converters.
85V - 265V AC in, 12V/3.3A AC/DC Open Frame Power Supply Based on PSR Flyback Reference Design
PMP9576: This reference design provides an isolated 12V/3.3A output from a universal 85V-265V AC input. This design achieves efficiencies greater than 84%. Employing the UCC28710D Primary Side Regulation (PSR) Flyback controller eliminates the opto-coupler and secondary side regulation components. The energy saving features of the UCC28710D allow this design to consume less than 75mW when plugged into the wall with no device attached to the output.

PMP9531: High efficiency, high power factor and reliable power supply are the main focus of the PMP9531 design for motor driver applications. Transition mode (TM) power factor correction (PFC) with UCC28051 and LLC series resonant converter (SRC) with UCC25600 are applied in PMP9531. In addition, a high-side buck converter with UCC28710 is applied here as the bias supply. 93% converter efficiency is achieved at high line while still obtaining 90% converter efficiency at low line.

PMP8380: This reference design provides 12V at 12A from a wide range 18V-75V telecom input with greater than 94% efficiency. This design uses the UCC2897A active clamp controller with synchronous rectifiers for an efficient, yet cost effective solution that can operate from either a 24VDC or 48VDC input bus.

PMP10344: This reference design generates three separate isolated 12V/0.77A outputs from either an 85-265VAC single phase input or a 200-480VAC-LL three phase input. The UCC28700 controls a flyback converter power stage. The primary side regulation feature of the UCC28700 eliminates the need for an optocoupler, reducing cost and complexity. The three outputs are isolated from each other and can be stacked in series to generate higher output voltages.
