Complete Front End Automotive Reverse Polarity and Series Fault Protection Reference Design
PMP10748: PMP10748 is a complete automotive front end protection TIDesign that highlights TI's zero IQ Smart Diode Controller and High-Side Protection Controller. This design uses two LM74610-Q1 IC's to drive 40V MOSFETs in OR-ing Configuration for reverse polarity protection. The LM74610-Q1 is highly effective zero IQ replacement of lossy diodes and less effective PFET solutions for revere polarity protection. This design also includes programmable OVP, UVLO and OCP with LM5060-Q1 high side protection controller. This device also provides controlled rise time for safe connection and programmable fault detection delay time with LM5060-Q1
Ultra-Wide Input Voltage Range PSR Flyback Converter Reference Design
PMP10200: The PMP10200 reference design uses the UCC28700 primary-side regulated quasi-resonant flyback controller to generate a 28V output from an DC input. The input voltage range is between 25VDC and 520VDC. It is a low cost solution because no optocoupler is needed to regulate the output voltage.
Novel, High Efficiency Full-Bridge Rectifier Reference Design
TIDA-00858: TIDA-00858 implements a high efficiency novel approach to Full Bridge Rectifier. This TI Design replaces diodes with four N-Channel MOSFETs, combined with LM74670-Q1 Smart Diode Controllers in a Full Bridge Rectifier configuration. The LM74670-Q1 solution is highly effective zero IQ replacement of lossy diodes. This design can produce a rectified DC voltage without diode forward voltage drop for AC input voltage up to 45V. This LM74670-Q1 solution based full bridge rectifier can handle AC input of 300Hz frequency and up to 100A output current with less thermal management compared to schottky diode rectifier.
UART to Wi-Fi Bridge with 24 VAC Power Reference Design
TIDA-00375: The TIDA-00375 TI Design uses Texas Instruments SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3200 Internet-on-a-chip Wireless MCU module to create a data bridge between existing hardware with a logic-level UART interface and a Wi-Fi network. The design also contains a Simple Switcher power supply with a wide input range suitable for 24 volt HVAC systems. The UART interface has buffers to allow this design to interface with equipment that has logic levels between 3.3 volts and 5 volts.
