Automotive Power Supply with Pre-Boost Reference Design
PMP10223.1: The PMP10223 automotive power reference design provides 5.0V @ 1.1A, 3.3V @ 0.6A and 1.3V at 1.0A. A pre-boost provides 9.0V @ 1.7A to ensure proper operation even during startup of the engine. A synchronous buck converters generates 6.0V @ 2.2A as an intermediate rail for the following buck converters.

15V – 50V input to 12V@5A, Non Sync Buck
PMP7767: It is a non synchronous buck controller. It uses a constant on time (COT) device i.e. LM5085. This circuit has ceramic output capacitors which have very low ESR. Therefore the ripple is generated using the DCR of the inductor. The ripple voltage is then superimposed onto the feedback voltage.
14-Channel Active Cell Balance Battery Management Reference Design
TIDA-00239: Active Balance chipset for use in large format Lithium-ion batteries that provides monitoring, balancing, and communications. With precise and robust active balancing, the Active Balance BMS is capable of bidirection power transfer at each cell. Each EM1401EVM can manage 6 to 14 cells (60V max) for Li-ion battery applications. The EM1401EVM modules can be stacked up to 1300V. The system provides fast cell balancing, diagnostics, and module to controller communication. Independent protection circuitry is also provided.
6V-42V Input 12V/5A SEPIC for Automotive Applications
PMP7797: PMP7797 is a wide-input SEPIC converter designed for automotive applications. This design uses the LM25037Q push-pull controller as an interleaved boost, which incorporates two gate drivers for controlling two sets of MOSFET switches. The input is 12V nominal with a working range of 6V at cold crank to 42V at load dump. An auxiliary soft-start circuit is incorporated into the design, as well as input and output LC filters. At higher input voltage this SEPIC is capable of higher output current as shown by the typical efficiency plot.
