Small Form Factor 12W Ultra Wide Range Power Supply for Protection Relays - Reference Design
TIDA-00227: This small form factor, 12W power supply solution for protection relays handles an ultra-wide range of both AC and DC inputs making it a suitable platform to power a variety of lower power protection relays that need to be placed in a small housing. The power supply is designed to output industry standard voltages required in protection relays while also providing excellent line and load regulation. This solution has been engineered for high wattage with good efficiency and has also been pre-compliance tested for IEC61000-4 (EFT and Surge) and CISPR 11 Class A (Interference).
95VAC-305VAC Input, 50W SEPIC-PFC LED Driver
PMP5112: The PMP5112 reference design uses the UCC28810 in a single-stage, PFC-SEPIC configuration to drive a 50W LED load. This supply can operate from an input ranging from 85VAC up to 305VAC. It is capable of driving LED strings from 50V up to 100V at a fixed current of 0.5A with efficiency over 90%.
Universal AC Input 14V/2.4A Flyback With 88% Efficiency Reference Design
PMP9144: This reference design provides an isolated 14.5V/35W output from a universal 85-265VAC input. It uses the UCC28740 flyback controller to provide high efficiency and minimize light load losses. Maximum load efficiency is over 88%. The average efficiency (measured at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% load) is 87.9%. The UCC28740 also provides accurate current limiting which eliminates the need for a load protecting switch on the output.
85 to 265VAC Input 12V@3A High Efficiency Adapator Reference Design
PMP9715: This reference design provides an isolated 12V/36W output from a universal AC input range with over 89% peak efficiency. The UCC24610 synchronous rectifier controller and CSD19531Q5A FET reduce the rectifier loss and provide high efficiency with a minimal increase in cost. The UCC28740 flyback controller uses a combination of peak current modulation and frequency modulation to maintain excellent efficiency at lighter loads and minimize no load power consumption. The current regulation feature of the UCC28740 provides accurate current limit protection. This compact design consumes a volume of only 2.0" x 2.0" x 0.75".
85-265VAC Input, 13.5V/0.9A PSR Flyback Reference Design
PMP11135: The PMP11135 reference design uses the UCC28711 to provide an isolated 13.5V at 0.9A output. The UCC28711 implements primary-side regulation, eliminating the need for an opto-coupler and reducing the size and cost of the design. This design meets Class B conducted emissions without the need for a common mode input choke.
85-265VACin, 12V/1.5A PSR Flyback Reference Design
PMP10351: This reference design uses the UCC28713 primary-side regulated (PSR) flyback controller to generate a 12V/1.5A output from a univeral AC input. The valley switching of the UCC28713 allows this low-cost design to achieve an average efficiency over 87%; no load losses are less than 50mW. The PSR function eliminates the need for an optocoupler and TL431, greatly simplifying the circuit and reducing cost.

PMP10478: This reference design is capable of charging two devices at 2.5A each with over 82% efficiency. The UCC24610 synchronous rectifier controller and CSD17312Q5 FET reduce the rectifier loss and provide high efficiency with a minimal increase in cost. The TPS2561A provides accurate and independent current limit protection for each port. The TPS2513 communicates with the mobile device under charge to ensure that the charger is accepted by most phone and tablet models. This compact design consumes a volume of only 2.15" x 1.7" x 1.0".
Isolated Auxiliary Flyback for Telecom Apps with 5V @ 300mA & 120V @ 80mA Reference Design
