TIDM-MSP430AFE253SUBMETEREVM Single-Phase Energy Measurement Reference Design | TI.com
TIDM-MSP430AFE253SUBMETEREVM: This design implements a high-accuracy single-phase embedded energy measurement application using MSP430AFE253. This EVM has built-in support for measuring AC voltage, current, active power, reactive power, apparent power, frequency, power factor, DC voltage, DC current, and DC active power. It has the ability to detect the input voltage to work in DC or AC mode. It is also equipped with the capability to compensate the effect of the wire resistance and the EMI filter capacitor so that the reading of voltage and power matches the reading of an external meter when EMI filter is connected to the input side. Designers who need to add energy measurement capability to their product will find this reference design a useful aide in quickly incorporating this feature.
Single-Phase E-Meter System on Module (SoM)
TIDM-SINGLEPHASESOM: The design implements a highly accurate single-phase electric meter system using the MSP430AFE253 analog front end. It meets the requirements for ANSI C12.20 and IEC-62053 Class 0.2 meters. The System on Module (SoM) is designed to be a plug-in card to a larger motherboard through a standard connector. The SoM is compatible with the TI Smart Meter Board 3.0. The MSP430AFE2xx SoM is suitable for developers of smart e-meters and Distribution Automation equipment that require highly accurate energy measurement.

TIDM-METROLOGY-HOST Single-Phase Electric Meter with Isolated Energy Measurement | TI.com
TIDM-METROLOGY-HOST: Electric meter developers often prefer to separate the energy measurement function from the host processor functions such as ANSI/IEC data tables, DLMS/COSEM, tariff management, and communications. This design demonstrates a method for keeping these meter functions separated by using an individual metrology processor and host processor. The firmware supplied with the design manages all of the required functions and synchronization between the processors. The design also demonstrates how to isolate communications between the two processors to achieve the necessary safety requirements. Finally, this design demonstrates a method for meter calibration using the USB interface on an MSP430 MCU. Engineers will be able to more quickly develop smart meters with isolated metrology functions by reusing this reference design.
