Dual-channel XAUI to SFI Reference Design for Systems with Two or More SFP+ Optical Ports
TIDA-00234: The TIDA-00234 XAUI to SFI reference design is intended for Enterprise and Service Provider Networking applications like Ethernet Switches and Routers that implement multiple 10G Ethernet compliant Optical (SFP+) ports. This reference design features the TLK10232 device which is the most compact Dual-channel XAUI-to-SFI Transceiver with the lowest power consumption in its category. This reference design allows access to the high-speed signals (up to 10Gbps) generated by the TLK10232 via SMA connectors or an SFP+ Module via the SFP+ optical module cage. Also, featured is the CDCM6208 device that can provide extremely low-jitter Clock input to the TLK10232 in customer systems that do not have one available (or does not meet the jitter requirement of the system).
DisplayPort Video 4:1 Aggregation Reference Design
TIDA-00309: This verified reference design is a complete four channel DisplayPort aggregation and de-aggregation solution. One TLK10022 is used to aggregate four synchronous DisplayPort (DP) sources together into one 10.8 Gbps serial link. The serial data is transferred via copper or optical fiber where a second TLK10022 is used to de-aggregate and seamlessly redisplay the original video content.
Single-Phase Inverter Reference Design With Voltage Source and Grid Connected Modes
TIDM-HV-1PH-DCAC: This reference design implements single-phase inverter (DC-AC) control using the C2000™ F28377D microcontroller. Design supports two modes of operation for the inverter. First is the voltage source mode using an output LC filter. This control mode is typically used in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). Second is grid connected mode with an output LCL filter, which is typically used in solar inverters. Firmware for the design is supported under the powerSUITE framework which enables adaptation using the Solution Adapter and enables tuning of the control loop using the Compensation Designer and SFRA. High-efficiency, low THD and intuitive software make this design attractive for engineers working on inverter design for UPS and alternative energy applications such as PV inverters, grid storage and micro grids.
Power Line Communications (PLC) Lite™ Reference Design for Industrial Applications
TIDM-INDUSTRIAL-PLC: This TI implementation of Power Line Communications (PLC) is a new option for adding communications to industrial equipment such as solar arrays. PLC Lite™ offers higher data throughput than earlier forms of PLC and greater robustness for transmission across noisy electric lines by using OFDM PHY technology. This design is based upon a C2000 controlCARD and an analog front end for PLC. The C2000 MCU executes the entire PLC Lite software stack. TIDM-INDUSTRIAL-PLC achieves up to 21 kbps data rates across AC or DC power lines compared to traditional SFSK PLC solutions (2-5 kbps) all while decreasing the overall BOM cost of a typical PLC modem.
