Small, High-Efficiency Split-Rail Supply Reference Design for Portable Audio Applications
PMP9781: Differential Headphone amplifiers require positive and negative voltages. In this reference design, both voltages are generated from a single input voltage with an all integrated split-rail converter. It only requires one inductor and a minimal amount of external components to achieve a high efficiency power supply that keeps the distortion of the system very low.
