Ultra-Wide Input Voltage Range PSR Flyback Converter Reference Design

PMP10200: The PMP10200 reference design uses the UCC28700 primary-side regulated quasi-resonant flyback controller to generate a 28V output from an DC input. The input voltage range is between 25VDC and 520VDC. It is a low cost solution because no optocoupler is needed to regulate the output voltage.

LED driver 80V@2A

PMP4530: From the low mains (85Vac…132Vac) the PMP4530 supplies 80V @ 2A constant voltage with a PFC Flyback single stage topology. The output is usually connected to several Buck post regulators to LED strings.

85Vdc-576Vdc Input, 24V @ 12W-pk / 6W-avg Output, Non-Isolated Flyback

PMP6741: The PMP6741 reference design provides 24V at 12W(peak) and 6W(average) from a ultra-wide range 85VAC-576VAC input. This design uses the TL2844 controller and a high voltage BJT for a low cost solution for power meters.

PFC Boost LLC Resonant Half-bridge 24V@3.5A

PMP5761: PMP5761 is designed for hybrid filber/coax system with nominal 40VAC-90VAC input and generate a 24V/3.5A output. A cascade PFC and LLC-SRC two stage system is applied in this design to guarantee high power factor is achieved in nominal input range. Transition mode PFC controller UCC28051 and resonant converter controller UCC25600 are applied to PFC and LLC-SRC, respectively. With PFC output set to 300V, PMP5761 is able to keep out in regulation with input up to 200VAC. 80% converter efficiency is achieved at 40VAC and 87% converter efficiency is achieved at 115VAC.
