Non-Isolated RS-485 to Wi-Fi Bridge with 24 VAC Power Reference Design
TIDA-00485: The TIDA-00485 TI Design uses Texas Instruments SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3200 Internet-on-a-chip Wireless MCU module to create a data bridge between an RS-485 network and a Wi-Fi network. An SN65HVD72 transceiver provides the RS-485 Interface with 12 kV of ESD protection, and additional protection is provided on board. The design can be powered with AC or DC power up to 30 V RMS or 48 V peak. A version of this design with an isolated RS-485 interface is presented in TIDA-00486.
TIDA-00203 Compact CAN-to-Ethernet Converter using 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4F MCU Reference Design | TI.com
TIDA-00203: This reference design demonstrates a small form-factor Controller Access Network (CAN)-to-Ethernet converter using the TM4C129XNCZAD 32-bit ARM® Cortex™-M4F MCU. Supporting 10/100 Base-T compliant with IEEE 802.3 standard, this reference design is useful for industrial drives monitoring and control, as well as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. The same hardware can be used as a CAN-to-Ethernet gateway or bridge with simple changes in the firmware. The gateway application is useful for monitoring remote CAN networks over Ethernet, while the bridge application is useful for coupling CAN networks via the the internet or local area netowork (LAN).
TIDA-00202 Interface to a HIPERFACE Position Encoder Reference Design | TI.com
TIDA-00202: The TIDA-00202 reference design implements an EMC compliant industrial hybrid analog and digital interface to a HIPERFACE position encoder. A 3.3V supply RS485 transceiver with IEC-ESD and IEC-EFT protection is used for the bidirectional parameter channel. For the analog sin/cos signal channel, two options are provided to offer flexibility for connection to processors with and without embedded ADC or redundancy by using both options simultaneously. The first option features a fully differential dual 12-bit ADC with SPI output, the second option features a dual differential input with single-ended analog output (0-3.3V). The design features an industrial compliant 24V input with wide range from 16V to 36V. The power supply for the encoder can be configured from 7 to 12V (default 11V) and offers short-circuit protection. A 3.3V I/O connector with analog and logic signals provides an easy interface to a host processor with HIPERFACE master IP core. For quick evaluation an example firmware is available for a C2000™ Piccolo MCU to calculate the absolute angle position and display it through virtual COM port.

Isolated RS-485 to Wi-Fi Bridge with 24 VAC Power Reference Design
TIDA-00486: The TIDA-00486 TI Design uses Texas Instruments SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3200 Internet-on-a-chip Wireless MCU module to create a data bridge between an RS-485 network and a Wi-Fi network. An ISO15 transceiver provides an isolated RS-485 interface with up to 2500 VRMS of isolation. The LM5160 Fly-Buck™ power supply provides both isolated and non-isolated 3.3 V outputs for the two portions of the circuit. The design can be powered with AC or DC power up to 30 VRMS or 48 V peak A version of this design with a non-isolated RS-485 interface is presented in TIDA-00485.
