The design is utilizing UCC28950 voltage mode forward and average current limitation backward converter (two quadrant converter). It can modulate output voltage from 20V to 32V within 200us (at maximum 200uF of capacitive load) – so called: slow drain modulation. The converter has full load steps capability as well. It is a very small design for high sophisticated telecom applications. The system can also be used for all other two quadrant applications. PMP7672: This reference design describes an 18W power supply for driving a string of 13 LEDs (3.3V) at 420mA. The targeted application for this design is T8 fixtures transitioning from standard fluorescent tubes to more efficient LEDs. With an operating efficiency of over 87%, an input voltage range of 90 VAC - 275 VAC, and form factor of 282mm x 18mm, this design provides an ideal solution for this application. Test results provided in this design include EMI tests per CISPR22 Class B standard.
PFC Boost LLC Resonant Half-bridge 24V@3.5A
PMP5761: PMP5761 is designed for hybrid filber/coax system with nominal 40VAC-90VAC input and generate a 24V/3.5A output. A cascade PFC and LLC-SRC two stage system is applied in this design to guarantee high power factor is achieved in nominal input range. Transition mode PFC controller UCC28051 and resonant converter controller UCC25600 are applied to PFC and LLC-SRC, respectively. With PFC output set to 300V, PMP5761 is able to keep out in regulation with input up to 200VAC. 80% converter efficiency is achieved at 40VAC and 87% converter efficiency is achieved at 115VAC.

PMP5141: The PMP5141 reference design provides a 24V/10A output with power factor correction from a universal AC input voltage range. This design uses the UCC28051 to control the front end PFC boost stage. The output of the PFC is followed by a UCC25600 LLC resonant half-bridge. The total efficieny, from input to output is over 92% from a 220VAC/50Hz input and over 90% from a 120VAC/60Hz input.
400VDC Input 12V/60W Synchronous Flyback
PMP5195: The PMP5195 reference design generates an isolated 5V at 60W. This design uses the UCC28610 quasi-resonant flyback controller in conjunction with current-transformer-driven synchronous rectifiers to provide good efficiency at heavy loads while maintaining low power consumption at light loads. The maximum load efficiency is over 90%, and the no load losses are less than 200mW when powered from a 400VDC input voltage.
